Does anyone know if it's any quieter than some of its predecessors? It's impossible to sleep in the same room as one of these; they creak and groan and make all sorts of unhealthy noises.
OK, bad joke. I thought I could hide the profile behind the username and give everyone a good laugh. No such luck.

When will engadget give us the ability to edit posts? And give us "make profile private" buttons that actually work?

I was a member of one of those focus groups, and my particular group didn't have a problem with the noise. Personally, I thought it made my home feel more "earthy". What really bugged me was the chicken droppings in my clean laundry.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
