sounds more like they are opening things up to phones that do not have those buttons, rather than taking anything away from phones that do.
It isn't slow scrolling for me (STX 6.5.1 on sprint diamond), but they need to figure out how to get the icons to be pre-loaded or something... loading them as they are scrolling is a little annoying.
Battlefield:1943 seems to suffer from this as well.
usually I pass up contests like this but WOW I have wanted one of these since I saw one in Circuit City last year....

if I win it I will give the phone to my wife since I'm on sprint sero, and she is on verizon... That will fix the economy.
I know how to fix it... instead of having a day where everyone turns out the lights or doesn't use gas or something dumb like that, have a day where everyone who trades on the market buys 10 stocks from 10 companies, not matter what happened that day.
Have fun with your crappy exclusives. Doesn't change the fact that I will be playing Halo 3 ODST and the beta of Reach this fall, and you won't.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
