The tablet PC is one of Bill Gates' dreams, however they have been around for quite a while now and nobody buys them. They never took off, and why would they?
If you want a portable PC, people buy notebooks and they do that for a reason. First, you don't have to be over-careful with the screen and you can actually work with them. Most people like the idea of having a keyboard and of course you can use a keyboard with a tablet but what's the point of having one then?
You might as well build a touchscreen into a ordinary notebook.

For anything else, just get a Cintiq.
