It amazes me how TMZ and RadarOnline are now considered legitimate enough to say that "he did it". Serial? And these are verified? They have something other than texts from some number or voicemails that may or may not sound like him? If not, then leave it alone and quit feeding the trolls. And quit trying to make your money at his expense. Report on sports... not this circus...
@Paul

"Convergence killed the GPS stars :)"

That is, until you need to take or make a call and still see your directions. I'd rather have a dedicated device for GPS... that's one convergence I'll never go with.
@iprinteverypageontheinternet, As much as I'm not a P.Diddy apologist, at this point, he's pretty much wealthy... I think the distinguishing feature is those born wealthy vs the nouveau riche.
That's only the forum post- which if you found out about it from a different angle, you didn't see. There were multiple outlets for this news, and only the one forum post said that it was available while supplies lasted.
But that's not the announcement. That's one forum post. And for those of us who don't visit forums regularly and found out from another avenue (say when I registered my pre-order), that was never seen. Even on their post on their own front page it didn't say anything other than the date of expiry- that was the only limitation mentioned. So you might want to get off your high horse before shooting from the hip on this one...
I don't think anyone is saying it's like other games. It's not. And that's one of the reasons it's not for everyone. It is what it is. And some won't be able to get into it. I personally am a casual player that likes the thrill of exploration. Casual player = can't always find someone to share the same schedule. No one is saying it's not a good well-done game. It's just not for everyone- and that is in some cases because of the fact that it's so different. But people don't talk about the differences and the downsides- it's just *the game* that you *should* play. And if you can't get into it, it's because of a problem with *you* not a basic incompatibility between you and the game style.
Even with doing that, it doesn't put you on parity with the opposition you'll face. I do agree that they jumpstart new players, but that just gets them on a level where they can lose more when the hammer falls.
Unfortunately, agreed. I sooo wanted to like this game. Exploration seems fun, and I wanted a good space sim. But unfortunately, the PvP is a little bit too free... It's just not for everyone, though it seems like many want to pretend it is.
It's still one of their highest rated shows, so I doubt they want it to die. It's just that the new show, Vampire Diaries, is a more logical lead in for Supernatural, and is more likely to get a better chance at life in the position. I mean, seriously, where were they going to put it? Any ideas given *this* lineup?

There already have been a couple (Neocron, Auto Assault), just nothing that caught on. I'd like something with a compelling back story that's more FPS like (like fallout 3) rather than just the same MMO controls. I also want it in the hands of someone with the patience to develop it and not just throw it out and expect it to dominate WoW immediately or get canceled.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
