Make it look better, It look's to much like what it is, an External enclosure Turned into a media device, A tuner would be nice but I'd still buy one anyway, if it was not soooo ugly.
The Popcorn hour allows you to playback any format and run a 1tb drive inside of it, seems the D-Link is a day late and a dollar short to me, if all you want is streaming Dvix from a big name, buy a Xbox 360 or a PS3 or better yet, Forget Divx ( H.264 and MKV Are Much Better ) and just buy a Popcorn hour, or if its to ugly for you, just get a apple tv and use Videora on the PC or iSquint on the Mac to convert everything for the ATV for free.
For everyone concerned about the ps2 games, the rummer is sony is going to start selling them as downloads soon, but now that every none exclusive game for the 360 is being sold for ps3, I don't see the point, time shift, dark sector, lost planet, even bio shock in a couple month's, so I say farewell to the old and hello god of war 3, fallout, MG4, resistance and all the thick gravy goodness that is HD Gaming without the yearly graphic card fee of $300 to $400 dollars I used to pay on the pc
Artr if you wn the DVD's, why don't you just copy them with handbreak for the ps3 and then either copy them to the ps3 hard drive or play them from a external drive and then keep the originals as a back up.
I Agree with Apreche network support should be built-in, I also Agree with Johnny Unitas, its way over priced, and i would also like to add, power consumption to the list, how much power are you pulling with it on 24/7 with both the drobo and it's nas device running
Born and Raised in the great us of a, but i agree, just give the month, and as fare as backwards compatibility, I got the 60g for that but have not touched one of my old games since all the new games have come out, dark sector is incredible, and way cheap on amazon, time shift, metal gear, hulk, call of duty, if i was buying today, I'd be just as happy with a 40g, but as gitallysick is right, more ram would be great, and the ability to log out of linux without command line.
I think the eee was a great idea that came late, Now Phones, PSP and Even Ipods, have Real web browsers like safari and opera, And Maybe Fire fox some day, Storage in all these devices has increased significantly and lets not forget cloud storage/computing, Now that your talking over $500, the price of a full size computer, Whats the point.
All Sony needs to do is equip DVR functionalities in one of their future updates for the PS3 and that'll be the only Blu-ray DVR you'll need.

Its called play tv, for the ps3, demo on you tube.

"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
