I know I can only speak for myself here, but watching lost feels like watching Alias all over again. Only without the hot chicks and action.

It's like you can see how they're writing themselves in a corner again without any broader concept or inter-season story arch. And I know the 24 writers are guilty of that as well but that is an action show first and foremost, and the action sequences redeem the show. That's why I don't really care that much about their sloppy writing.

Lost, on the other hand, is a mistery show. Take away the story and you have a bunch of bums on an island.

That's also why I stopped watching a few episodes into this season. Sure, I tivo new episodes and fast forward through them when I feel like it. But I never feel like I am missing out. Actually, whenever I actually watch an episode, I end up being frustrated by the plot holes and rather pointless storylines (hey, let's see if we can find the ONLY treefrog on a tropical island, I mean the VERY ONE we didn't even mention ever before and while we're at it, let's drag this out for 20 minutes).

Please.
Well, I agree with mabs. If this thing turns out to be at least okay-looking, lightweight and small I'll probably pick one up as long as the price is reasonable.

As much as I love the V3, I have to admit that it probably has the worst text editor I have ever seen. I don't really mind carrying another device since I don't plan on stuffing this thing in my pockets. I suppose it could be a nice-to-have gadget when you're in a meeting or something and can't use the phone.

I think in the end it'll come down to how much exactly they're charging for this thing since it's nice-to-have and all, but pretty much useless (most people who are into texting already own QWERTY phones, however flawed they might be, or just use Sidekicks).
99 cents for a on-demand just to skip the commercials? I am sorry but that is ridiculous. And isn't the point of having a TiVo (or any other DVR) that you don't have to worry about when a show is on or whether it's just a rerun? Besides, I can already fast-forward through commercials and, in fact, I usually do unless I see something that catches my eye (advertisers: how about you make your commercials interesting because that is literally the only way you'll get us viewers to watch them). Charging me for something I have already paid for with my monthly subscription? Not a good idea and, frankly, not very likely to work. Hell, give me a $2 a month option for free, no-commercial shows to-go (in either the new iPod or the PSP format) and I might think about it. But even that is a little steep considering that you can easily convert your shows to your handheld's video format yourself.
I have to admit I used to be a huge Dave fan. Whenever people brought up the Letterman vs. Leno debate, I was the most staunch Letterman supporter. I still watched the 'Daily Show' and Conan (and to this day, I do) but I wouldn't watch Leno... until January 2000. And frankly, I don't really know what happened. Letterman just became sort of unpleasant, annoying and patronizing. At that time, I started to tune in to Leno and, despite the fact that I found some segments utterly boring, I still enjoyed it a lot more than Letterman. In the last five years, I've given Letterman about a hundred chances to redeem himself and - trust me - I really wanted to be able to go back to watching his show, but somehow he always ended up short. It's hard to describe but, as far as I am concerned, his show tends to be pathetically boring whereas Leno tends to be pathetically lame, with a few exceptions. And those exceptions make all the difference. It's just way less annoying to watch Leno these days. I just to think Dave was pretty funny but now he's mostly irritating. Whereas Leno is mostly harmless but it's still the easy-listening of comedy. Hell, it beats Saturday Night Live. And for laugh-out-loud funny, I still have Conan.
Awesome! I think there is indeed a market for these type of shows: it's not just that a whole generation grew up watching them - sure the nostalgia is an important factor. But, there's also the overall quality of these shows and, personally, I feel that they have 85% of what's currently on TV beat. Sure, Magnum may not be as polished as CSI (two shows I love) but it's a lot more fun to watch than almost all reality shows. And who doesn't love the A-Team? I just wish they offered an online on-demand option, like Comedy Cetral's new online channel.
Awesome! It's easily one of the best shows on TV and, at least as far as I am concerned, the best Sci-Fi show that's currently (not) on.

"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
