No surprise: Intel has known about Chrome OS, worked with Google on 'elements' of project {Engadget}

Jul 11th 2009 2:58AM *sighs*

Apple uses also have a hard time wrapping their head around large corp entities. The simple fact is that Intel has teams working with Dell, Apple, Toshiba, Gateways to optimize drivers. There is no reason to think that Intel doesn't have a small team helping Google on COS while the work on their own implementation for Linux.

Google announces Chrome OS, coming to netbooks second half of 2010 {Engadget}

Jul 8th 2009 10:25AM Yah right. If its anything like Android it will come with no feature and just a web browser. Google is lazy in many regards. They are letting everyone else fill in their holes. Depending on how you look at it this could be good or bad. All I know is I still don't have a solid means of viewing PDF's on my G1. And printing a doc to a networked printer on your WIFI network? Ummm no. Watch. Chrome OS won't even come with a print subsystem.
