Nov 7th 2006 6:45PM Was given an M5 by a friend and after two weeks I gave her back. The smg transmission, imho, blows. It is slow, jerky and the upshift 1 - 2 is awful. I can really feel the computer shifting and despite what you m,ay think, you must lift off the gas 1 - 2 or it acts awful. I am geek city but idrive sucks. From nav to radio to change stations takes to many clicks and turns. I prefer my 30k Audi A4 to the M5 (I have also owned two M3s so I have some idea what I am talking about).

Sep 26th 2006 7:58PM As someone who has owned (and sold) the Japanese version of this device I can tell you the screen is e huge improvement over reading text on a pda or a Treo. While color is noce, most books I read have text not a lot of pictures so grey scale is fine. Things I would want: 1. Ereader support, 2. A quikpedia front end so I can carry around the wikipedia encyclopaedia (have it in my treo now), a word doc reader and a price point of $199 or even $99 plus you have to buy 12 books at $20 each

Aug 26th 2006 9:04AM I did Audi's event in Miami, and they let you drive a new Q7 on the street, and you were allowed to drive each of the display cars on the cone track at least once (they had so few drivers, I got to go twice in some cars).
You also got to ride with a pro driver in the RS4 (apparently they let drivers drive them at the first event and they toasted the six speed/clutches).
Will likely attend the Mazda event in Miami as well.
