not really... they still have to compete against terrestrial radio, ipods, cds, etc.... if they price it too high i just will continue to not have sat radio as i dont now... i have wanted it for a while now but couldnt decide... the new company will get my business, unless of course they do raise the prices, in which case i will keep suffereing with my 80gb ipod, and am/fm
oh yeah... the security gaurd at the moscone center told him so it must be true!!! everyone knows that rent a cops at conference centers are privy to inside apple secret info!!
im sick of people saying this!!
nothing or nobody has said on the record that this will be locked to cingular!!
just because it is sold exclusively through cingular doesnt mean the phone is locked... maybe it will be, but we dont know this .... and money is on it not being... they can sell it with a subsidized price, and charge you a penalty if you break the contract equal to the discount without locking it, in fact locking it would be pointless... there have been other phones that have not been locked, only subsidized.... in fact many countries in europe it is illegal to lock phones, which means there will at least be an unlocked version if there is a locked one at all, and if there are both then it will be easy to unlock... i have never had a problem unlocking any phone i have ever had so get over it!! jesus christ people will make up the most ignorant statements to try to take away apples luster every ti me they own the competition on somethng,.... windows fanboys are like jealous little children and this Gartenburg character has no idea any more than the rest of us, but for some reason engadget will publish whatever he says as if it were gospel....
I agree for the most part, but i have been frantically reading everything i can find on this today (all day) and i dont see where the reviewer got the info that you cant install 3rd party software or that there is no support for office attachments... care to list a source? i dont think apple has come out and said so either way to anyone (yet) and i suspect the reviewer is merely speculating and listing his speculation as concrete fact.
i dont game... i quit when i had a sega genesis... i have a short attention span (and a life) and i cant make myself 'learn' a game... forget it... they got too complicated... i think the best game of all time is paperboy BUT that video looked really fun! im going to buy a Wii! there are a lot of people that just want to pick it up and play, that dont want to get a second mortgage to buy a console, and dont want to invest a ton of time to figure out a game... the tech in the other consoles is impressive, and i pay attention as a geek, but it isnt fun to me. I have friends that work at EA, and i can get whatever i want for free, and i still dont.... i am not alone... nintendo is going to attract a lot of non gamers like myself to (or back to) gaming, and thats the best way in business to make money, to expand the market
32MB of internal memory?
why do they bother with any at all?
"Are you on drugs??

4 x 50 = 200. Panasonic's ***103***-incher."

you are an idiot...
Fine then, Sony i will continue to buy music from the other labels as i always have, but to keep from you screwing up my hardware i will only steal your music... happy now? and to the artists with deals with sony: you will make no money from me by forging deals with sony (the devil) if you want a career in music better find a different label.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
