I'm pretty sure the person holding the keyboard has Arachnodactyly.
It's true Engadget didn't post about Playstation Home the day of the launch but at least they announced it the day before:

Just because this is an XBOX modification doesn't mean the console wars have to be brought into it.

Star Fox 64 aka Lylat Wars FTW.
The great thing about these comments is that they're so witty and original that they never get old, which allows you to recycle them constantly.

I'd say something about pigs, but I don't want to insult their intelligence.

The incentive for paying $399 is that you can get an OLPC XO for yourself if you want, while also donating one.

Anyone who lacks the "generosity" to pay $1 extra for the privilege is unlikely to donate anyway.
"The philosophy goes something like this: the great thing about Linux is that it's secure, and the great thing about open-source software is that it's thoroughly and constantly vetted for robustness. So to that end, Android should be pretty rock solid, right?"

As Bruce and Eddie W have pointed out so well, Android was not subject to the scrutiny of the open source community during development - unlike the vast majority of open source software - so this security breach can not be attributed to open source. The great thing about open-source software IS that it's thoroughly and constantly vetted for robustness, which is exactly why this bug has been patched so quickly. Closed source code protects profits, it does not make software more secure.
@ Team Louish: Sure, it's not as though the Scottish or the Irish ever immigrated anywhere else is it?
goodstuff, I wasn't suggesting that medical practitioners should be short-changed in any way. I am well aware that health systems which are highly government funded are not "free", I pay taxes in a country which has such a health system after all. I don't see why this argument is always presented as an either or choice between a universal health system and a user pays health system.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
