Actually at whatever framerate it's encoded in, since it's actually not REALLY e-ink. I assume they wanted to make a comparison of quality to e-ink screens, but it's pretty deceptive since it's just an LCD that can be frontlit by the sun or whatever other light source is around. They've actually been around longer than backlit LCDs, so it's not a new technology at all, but it might be the first time someone's made one that has both capabilities.
Yes! I've been looking all over for one of these for a long time. I definitely want to get one when they start shipping.
Should've just called it the Enterprise
THIS ALSO LOOK ALOT LIKE SAMSUNG OMNIA II (it is)
Looks like a good idea, if not for the screen (which should be glass anyway), for the plastic casing. Also, the tag "resistent" is spelled wrong, which should be "resistant".
engadget comment system still blows ass.

yes please
I've had this problem before on a bunch of laptops. If it has an nVidia graphics chip in it, download PowerMizer Switch and set power savings to off, at least on AC power. That seemed to have gotten rid of audio stuttering for me.
If you're going to bother making fun, at least call them "old people." Also, pretty much everybody I know in Maryland has Verizon. I think the northern US/east coast is mainly Verizon, and once you get towards the midwest there's more of a mix.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
