I think it'd be pretty rare for a thief to actually know a laptop well enough to actually figure out how to get it out. I just have never heard of any geek-thieves...

For the reflective screen, it's probably possible to find an anti-glare film to stick on the screen just like the ones that are sold for the iPhones. It's not convenient, but that's probably the best anyone could do.
Wow, if anyone ever wanted to change that keyboard, that would be a lot of unscrewing to do.
