Leave a comment hey to fix the world economy?

Hmm...

Shoot all the politicians?....maybe lynch those CEO's of all those banks that went tits up? lynch the leaders of every country that bought them out too...yet leaves all other sectors to suffer.

That would probably send a powerful message...

The fix? Revolution!!

Best I can do!
W00t! gotta love engadget!

:)
wow lol, truely amazing how far we have come...
Well iv updated and apart from the new 3G logo - I dont see any other difference. I cant say whether the text messaging lag has been fixed or not as usually on restores it does become fast temporarily and then slows down again after use so its too early to say.

I did notice 3G signal strength is currently full so I think that has been improved as well as backups as my updates usually take 15-20 minutes atleast and this was done in 10 minutes so I think thats improved...

Any other new features anyones noticed?
Updating now, Will post back my results - God i hope this fixes the laggy text messaging once and for all - If not, im forming the next A-Team to and going after steve jobs! whos with me? :p
I have had no problems so far with the update. The contacts seem to scroll faster and less jerky and I havnt noticed the sms texting lag yet.

I havnt played with it too much but these two were the first two things i noticed. Iv never had this so called "call dropping" issue before - Whats that? do you guys mean you get disconnected while on calls? If so I havnt experienced anything like that at all yet fortunately.

I have experienced incredibly low signal strength on my phone when I enter buildings etc - Its strange as my older phones have never had such a problem yet this iphone 3g seems very fickle to such things?

I feel sorry for this guy. He really looks like he needs to be put on suicide watch - I think he probably hanged himself after he turned the video off,

It is however all brought on himself - why would you take a love for an item this far, its not healthy and really poses some questions about his sanity.

He is after attention however, its clear...

Nevertheless, I do feel bad for him.
Seriously guys, what is with all this hate towards this phone?

Its just a product like anything eles - the Nintendo Wii everyone wanted on launch day, the ps3 or xbox 360 everyone rushed to get when they were released but why do you throw so much hate towards this phone?

I got one on launch day and everyone that says "ohhh but you couldnt even activate it after waiting ages!!" ...well actually I could and so could everyone eles later on in the evening - it was fine.

People really need to put things into perspective - a worldwide launch in activating a product at the same time is going to have problems yes - problems people cant always plan for because anything can go wrong.

I walked into the city centre here in the UK, saw a big ass line at one O2 store ten minutes before it was going to open - what did i do? I walked two minutes down the road and around the corner to the next o2 shop with only 5 people waiting, I waited 30mins before it opened with the missus and nabbed myself one - painless, no problem and made some friends in the line I waited with!

The phones good, the best iv ever had and its revolutionary - the GPS is amazing, the txting is really fun and the chat-log style is cool. Also the internet speed is amazing - Jobs was right, it is close to Wi-fi.

Its a great product for what it is, a phone with so much more.

Oh and im not even an apple fan - I think they are wankers sometimes with their expensive pricing and also hardlined tactics in allowing 3rd partys to get involved with their products but they make dam fine products.

You guys need to drop the hate because its companys like this that, even though they can be strict with their products, they push the boundaries of technology and innovation.

o2 website is useless, doesnt work at all. Have been trying for over an hour. Sod it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
