Thats actually a good point! Never thought of that. I wonder what users who've bought the new laptops have to say about it. I've played with the new laptops at the Apple Store - but left in disgust after all the reflections on the screen from all the lights around me.
I use a Mac Pro (with Apple matte displays) and a MBP at work. I've been in the market to upgrade my MB at home to a new MBP. Now that an updated MBP has come out, I'm forced to wait again. None of the upgrades and design issues overcome the lack of a matte display. I absolutely HATE glossy displays. As a designer (and any heavy user), I stare at my screens for hours on end - in all lighting situations. I am not buying a MBP until we have an option for matte displays. Apple may twist arms at times, but there is no way I'm settling for a glass display after dropping 2.5K on a laptop.

This is one of the first times I'm very upset at Apple's decisions. I cant believe they're trying to please the average consumer at the expense of their hardcore base of designers. Why not continue to provide both options of matte & glossy (or glass) displays?
Hope I have a chance! Looking fwd to the results.
Here's hoping I have a chance!

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
