Why is it that nearly every blog post by Jonny Lieberman starts with either a drawn-out history lesson that is moderately related to the post, or an aside / segue that is so long, and usually sufficiently random, that by the time you read it, you've forgotten the title to the blog post?

Come on, man, you're a good writer... But would you PLEASE stay focused and get to the point?

Maybe Mini thought this was the San Francisco Auto Show.
Industrial Design quirkiness aside, it looks very roomy and comfortable for driver and both passengers. Pretty smart.
You got you Jekyll and Hyde backwards. Should be a very competitive car in its class.
Buell who? That is the sexiest naked twin i've seen. Build it.
The GT3 RS has Pilot Sport Cup tires, which for the record, is a DOT competition tire.
Both Godzilla and ZR-1 would beat this down if they were wearing the same shoes.
Clearly a sanctioned event. Too competitive to be a casual lapping day. I am a bit suprised they had such a variety of performance on the track at the same time. Lots of lap traffic.
Sorry, I meant GM Ecotec 4cyl turbo. But the 4cyl ecoboost is coming...

Good job, blue oval. Now the bowtie needs to finally kick the 4.3L V6 to the curb and get a modern mill into the Silverado and Sierra. Turbo Inline 6 anyone? Hell, even the ecoboost 4cyl could make as much torque as the current mill.
The leaper looks cool, but Jake looks much more menacing.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
