@Slutty

Well, the entire point of this commercial, I think, is to show how a great phone can be ruined by a subpar network.

Plus, it's going to get more attention by attacking the iPhone anyways.
@boe

How would you feel if one of the touchscreen's app was a numeric pad?

I'm not saying it is, but it certainly could be, and I think would eliminate that problem.
Pretty reassuring for anyone hoping for a great Windows Mobile 7 (I think I'll head on over after my fun with Android).

It sure makes 6.5 look shitty. Thank goodness for HTC.
@Chris:

It's just a small plus, I think. With 1.6, Android got the ability to resize apps independent of screen resolution. Now whether this means that the Nook will get access to the Android Market remains to be seen, but it should serve as a basic platform for the introduction and hopefully continuation of a separate (or hopefully, integrated to the Android Market) app store for the device.

But this might just be wishful thinking.
It looks nice, if not a little vanilla.
@Drew

I believe you can also manually update the ROM by downloading it, booting into the recovery screen and installing the "update.zip" from a downloaded source on the net.

There are a couple of tuts on how to do this for cupcake, and is specifically what I did when 1.5 hit because I didn't feel like waiting.
I don't think there's a force in this world that will get me to use a RealPlayer product again.
@Neo Anderson

$15 gets you (almost) unlimited access to the Zune Marketplace and it's true that if you cancel your subscription, your music becomes unplayable (under Zune, I actually got maybe two more months out of it with Songbird), but at the beginning of each pay cycle, MS gives $10 worth of credit to buy (and permanently keep) your music.
If that's true, then that is absolutely ridiculous.

Is it just for certain apps, or is it currently running advertisements for all of them?
We need stronger Android phones, not weaker ones!

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
