@John

Actually, if you jailbreak your phone and install Backgrounder from Cydia, you have full multitasking.
As an owner of an iPhone, I'm loving that the Zune line is doing well. Competition is always A Good Thing. Glad to see MS is here now to make Apple innovate. And the fact that the Zune HD is a great product isn't too shabby either :D
Love the formfactor, though the keyboard looks dreadful.
And the bizarre GV/Apple situation looks that much... more bizarre.

Good on Palm.
A question: what is the intended demographic of this phone? Isn't it LESS powerful than the hardware powering the Pre?

Is there a market for this phone?
problem is though, according to the sales number's it isn't worthwhile yet to bother porting your apps over to other platforms, as they don't have the sales/visibility numbers that the App Store has. hopefully this will change in the future though.
Also note that if you get it on the iPhone through WunderRadio/PocketTunes, you can opt for the cheaper $13.99 internet radio package since those apps use the internet to connect to Sirius.

FYI guys, you can get Howard on the iPhone now.

Just use your sirius log in info with either PocketTunes or WunderRadio apps. It connects to the sat radio service through the Sirius website like you would on your computer, which has full access to Howard 100/101.

I've got both apps, I find WunderRadio to be the better of the 2 personally. Listen to Howard all morning at work, it's great.
I hear ya there man, while the gmail mobile web thing is very useful the fact that I can't read emails offline kills the usability there.

Come to think of it, why hasnt' google done a native app for gmail? Guess its that whole bullshit about apps duplicating iPhone functions?
With jailbreaking, I'm fine with it as is.

The iphone was lacking in:

RAM
Multitasking
Themes
The ability to send SMS from any app, at any time
Video
MMS
Tethering

The 3GS w/ Jailbreak, I get all of those things except MMS, which is ATT's incompetence.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
