how do you hold the thing?
someones paying engadget off...:P

I agree with Z..
DVD9 will last about..hmm 1 more year..then they will go onto 2 DVD9's then 3... do you know why? Becuase they have to recopy some of that material onto the 2nd and 3rd dvd9.. whats of space and money...

So you Xbox 360 fanboys plan to buy a new console in 2 years? Fine by me its ur money...i'd rather spend $500 next year and get a console that will last me 5+ years... External HD DVD with what 9 movies? yaaa veery useful... while i can BURN my own 50 GB BR DVD RIGHT NOW.
give up Nintendo fanboys...geezz too many reports for it to be a coincidence and too many reports for it to be minor problem/special cases. Nintendo is a cheap piece of equipemnt made from cheap material.

I give it that it was a good idea with the motion sensing but only goes so far... I'd rather save my $250 and not risk smashing my $2000 TV/ window/ getting arm, wrist injured (btw i play tennis and badminton). It can be very easy to damage your joints if there is no weight to a rackets, its the same as over swinging or missing the ball but in the Wii's case..your doing it EVERY time...
so if we pick up a racket instead of the wii... what is the wii for anyways?

How about the gamers who aren't fit? Does everyone who plan to play with the wii have to be fit? Nintendo i think you had a very good thing going on but its just not as practical as you thought...
Well EVERYONE who says that you don't need that much force... think about this.
Nintendo makes a console that imitates sport motions... when your in the heat of the game...will you consentrate on how hard you swing or where the ball will land next on the screen? You don't see PS3 buttons breaking do you when you press insanily hard on the buttons during a car race now do you?

Nintendo should have thought of this BEFORE they released the console just like how Microsoft should have thoguht about releaseing the movie download to the masses with gliches but i don't see any of you ppl complaining about defects. I only see people complaining about how PS3 is sooo hackable and that hard drive swaping is lame and useless...see if you can fit more than 3 movies on your xbox 360.
..who gloves for a game console ?? wt..f?

its actually very easy for the wiimote to slip out of your hands...small children with their respecive hand grip is much looser and smaller therefore easier for the wiimote to slip off. Nintendo should have thought of that before implimenting a console that uses hard arm movements since the console is geared towards younger players. Also, grip will loosen after 2+ hours of gaming, tired maybe?
i don't get it...what wrong with blue ray...it ownd HD DVD's ass in capacity and over time price will drop. 200 GB sounds pretty good to me at the moment...more than many ppl's hard drives.

Soooo how is blue ray disappointing? is there something better than blue ray out there in the optical disc department that i am unaware of?
how is this a shuffle copy?? i don't see any resemblance of a shuffle. It looks A LOT better than a shuffle. Sleeker design. I really like the buttons it has. Is it even a button or is it the touch sensitive ones because that what it looks like.

OWNS the shuffle. what? rectangular means ipod shuffle??
...i don't see it...sorry
dear 1up_clock,

about your resident evil comment. I was refering to Wii and PS3 not game cube and PS2. If you want to compare graphics with the PS2 and game cube try Final Fantasy 10 for example.

If you watched the trailer to Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3.

here it is: http://trailers.gametrailers.com/gt_vault/t_ff13_e36_h264.wmv

take a look, its like what 2 minutes? spare 2 minutes for a good snippet of what the PS3 can do.

O BTW the video is all REAL TIME. there is no CG in the video. as you will be playing in that enviroemnt.

I reember reading a comment saying screw the CG stuff? well how about playing in almost CG enviroment, down to the hair strands? I personally think its just a better playing enviroment. All you no graphic likes...would you play pixel zedla games for hours on end infront of a 30-50 inch tv with a wireless rumble controller? I don't think so.

Graphics, hardware and games are what makes the market and grow. Missing one part and its lost.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
