I'd just like to again thank Warner for prematurely ending the HD-DVD / BR battle and taking competition away from HD formats. Instead of Blu Ray manufacturers being forced to lower hardware prices to match Toshiba's - they're all still $500. And I still haven't seen the famed, phantom "cheap Chinese BR players" in stores anywhere.

Blame your precious Apple for not negotiating. It's not the music companies fault - they are looking out for themselves and Apple has increasing leverage that they are rightly concerned about.

They are looking elsewhere and getting better terms - it may be a pain for the iPod-lovers out there but in the long-run it will benefit consumers to NOT have one, dominating "choice".
I'll do what I told the people I contacted at Warner Brothers I'd do - I WILL DOWNLOAD HD rips of your future BluRay releases that will play beautifully in my Xbox 360. This is Warner's loss - they lose MY money, screw them for making the announcement right after the holidays.

It's not like Microsoft can't just release a BR reader down the road. The fact is, I have 35+ downloaded HD movies and started buying them when I purchased the HD-DVD player. I even bought one's I've already downloaded. They've ended their support (thus ending the war and killing the format) so I'll go back to downloading. I don't jump and buy BR just because Warner says so. IT'S THEIR LOSS.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
