Lifting an index finger a quarter of an inch is a major annoyance? This is how I've always moused, even with multiple button mice. Are you really calling this a defect because you have to lift a finger? Have we become that much of a lazy society that the "I don't want to lift a finger" statement now actually lives in our computer mousing?
Turn your mouse upside-down, on a clean piece of paper, apply some pressure to the bottom of the mouse as you draw around on the paper with the ball. You will see the grime and crap come off the ball of your mouse. In some cases, you will see some dust bunnies come out.
Don't be afraid to apply some decent pressure as you do this, it will clean off the ball really well. You will probably go through two pieces of paper getting the grime off.
I've cleaned many of track balls from Mighty Mouses this way, cleans them really well.
Besides, the Olympics aren't a "right." Just because this guy was fast once, had an accident or whatever, doesn't mean he should get to run in them because his situation is what it is now. The precedence is so dangerous, they have no idea what doors this is opening up.
I totally agree with earlier posts, hey I wasn't born fast, but they can make me fast with these, or I was fast, got my foot smashed, and look what I can do now. Why is it so wrong that we celebrate the best of the best athletics-wise? Sorry you lost your lower legs guys, but you don't have a right to compete in the Olympics.
How exactly did they get "owned?" This totally makes sense, HBO is not free programming like NBC is, so it makes complete sense to pay extra for it. HBO costs what, $10–$18 per month? NBC doesn't cost a thing. So to pay $1 more per episode seems cheap by comparison.
Um, Engadget has and article titled "Rock Band Mushroom Drum Pads: nearly too awesome to hit" and you are complaining about new screenshots to the latest release of the iPhone software? Be like me, I didn't read the Mushroom Pads article, so why don't you stay out of this forum.
What kind of high school idiotic statement is that. So, when I'm driving along, with my bluetooth headset on and I need to leave a message for my wife to pick up my son from soccer practice at 6:30, I should pull my car over and type her a text message? Don't be a douche and realize there are reasons for voicemail. Unless you are a 15 year old girl who has nothing better to do that just text with your friends. I can still speak way faster than I can type, and I can type around 24 w.p.m. on my iPhone.
Visual Voicemail is the best implementation of voicemail around, if you haven't tried it, you can't comment on it, but to say that only text should be used it plain ignorant.
Ruben obviously has been living under a rock for the past three years. Blockbuster has had an online rental service that has been cheaper and offered better value (because they allow you free in-store coupons and allow you to trade in your online movies for in-store movies as well).
So he just cancelled a $18–20 a month service since he bought his Apple TV. That's his point Ruben. Read, investigate, think, then type you cornhole.
I like how they show photos with the iPod Touch's screen off. Let's have a user interface-off and see that battle.
Oh yea, nice screws on the back there Sony . . . way to go on your industrial design.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
