Jul 18th 2008 6:50AM Well, I've done the old delete XP prefetch items trick and cut my 'to welcome screen' time to 4-5 seconds after disabling useless services and etc. full boot hovered around 10 seconds.

Unfortunately, it really isn't that useful and I don't personally mind waiting under a minute to load my computer.

Joystiq E3 hands-on: Fable 2 {Joystiq}

Jul 16th 2008 3:39PM I agree that it is overrated. I liked the first Fable, but it wasn't as good or as interesting as everyone prescribed it to be. Indeed I thought it was far too easy, especially the expansion. The ending was a sham and the temple to change your whole character's alignment was a way to pity gamers into scoring both sides too easily. Overall the replay value dropped out the bottom and it became less of a game where your choices really mattered and more of one that just babies players. The areas seems claustrophobic to me and really took away any feeling that the game was epic.

Excuse me for saying so, but it was mediocre to me. I'm hoping this one changes it for the better, but the simplifications they seem to have made and the suggested power of handguns make me wonder how tired I could become of this 'babying'.
