NVIDIA to announce an x86-compatible chip next week? {Engadget}

Aug 20th 2008 3:21PM Exactamundo! I would trust one thing the Inquirer reported on. Sure, they get it right every once in a while, but if it's not corroborated elsewhere I don't believe them.

Is Apple shooting in the dark to fix iPhone 3G issues? {Engadget}

Aug 19th 2008 9:44PM And people wonder why Apple won't release OSX for the general PC user population? This is why folks. First generation iPhone? Apparently nearly flawless. Why? No 3rd party apps. If apple is having this many problems getting the software right for their OWN device with 3rd party apps, imagine throwing OSX into the wild with the millions of hardware and software combinations out there. No way could Apple manage it.

Am I saying 3rd party apps are the problem? Not necessarily. But other than the 3g radio, it's the biggest single change from v1 to v2. I dunno, I'm jus' sayin'.

iPhone 3G reception woes unfixable? Maybe, maybe not {Engadget}

Aug 14th 2008 3:56PM Fine, good, then report it. The (as Jeff perfectly put it) snarkiness makes it really unpleasant to read. There has been a lot of this lately and it's really just not a lot of fun to read anymore. There are quite a few good, funny posts here, but this one just isn't one of them. Sorry, dude.

iPhone 3G reception woes unfixable? Maybe, maybe not {Engadget}

Aug 14th 2008 3:22PM It's posts like this one that are really making me wonder why I come here. I have to wonder, too, if it was really necessary to be such an ass when writing this post. God help anyone who claims Apple may have screwed up somehow. Rumors of a software fix by a 3rd party do NOT a software fix make.

Grow up Chris.

Epson and E Ink partner on controller IC for e-paper displays {Engadget}

Apr 15th 2008 9:24PM And because this is Epson, the E-ink in the display will run out after about a week and it will cost 4 times the cost of the controller/display to refill it...:)

Weekend circulars show jailbroken iPod touch with Installer on board {Engadget}

Apr 13th 2008 4:09PM Yea, it's a screw up and Apple is going to be unhappy, but I would think MOST people going to buy one of these won't even notice. Who but owners and the most "fanboi-ish" even know wth those icons even are?

Microsoft fixes Vista SP1 update problems, not soon enough for some {Engadget}

Feb 20th 2008 3:48PM I haven't done the whole SP1 thing, yet. I figured I'd wait until MS officially released it to me via update. I did get the prereq file a couple of days ago and there haven't been any issues with for me. My system is stable as a rock.

Looks like those who installed from torrents got the prereq file after updating and it hosed them. If you got it from MSDN legally, my guess is that that download has all of the prereq files necessary to install SP1 properly. I don't understand why anyone would download a critical system update from a torrent file and then claim MS F***ed their system. Puhlease. You were told that there were some files coming down that were necessary to install it properly. You didn't pay attention, you paid the price.
