Though the slices thing is cool I guess, I'm much more a fan of IE8's accelerators. IMHO it's the best thing IE got going for it. Without even having to right click that huge list of options is immediately and always available to you. It really does accelerate your browsing. And the fact that there's a dedicated site which aggregates all the assorted Accelerators is even better. The smart bar and improved searching is great as well, especially compared to Google Chrome's cleverly thought out but poorly executed Omni bar. Still, all of this isn't enough to make me want to leave firefox. Make sure to let us know when there is a similar Accelerator's addon for firefox though!
I'm confused, what's that got to do with anything? Serious of sarcastic?
The good thing about Wikipedia being a non-profit is that everything they do is for the user while's Google's Knol will be used to boast ad revenue at any cost. Unfortunately Google will most likely rank Knols articles highers than Wikipedia's in their search engine and capture a great deal of users without even trying. Google apparently plays the 'me-to' game as well.
I think it looks better than good. It looks original. Anyone remember how weird those first few all white ipods were but they definitely caught your attention. Creative seems to be going for the same effect. For kids and teens only though.
Remind me, why was this received so poorly, while the Kindle was raved about? Was it only the book selection because I, honestly, would rather be seen using one of these the the Kindle.
How long does you're touch last when using this?
Hope they baby isn't as stoned as they all are.
People seems to think Verizon is somehow just expending jealous regret over not landing the iphone contract but the way I see it, good for them. The iphone might be whats hot right now but Att isn't really making bank of this deal, at least not until about 2010. In fact they're losing quite a bit. So the iphone and follup devices are still, somehow, trendy by then maybe their little gamble will pay off and they won't go belly up.
Seems like a useful feature. Often, I'll send someone a comment about something on the mini feed and they won't really know what I'm talking about. (No one remembers all the little things they do on facebook) So this could make these comments more relevant and maybe even help my fake social life.
I read this somewhere else but was interested to see that you guys included a screenshot though I wish the picture was a little higher quality.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
