@DirtyVegas You're all missin the point: HTML5 (which this will utilize) allows you to cache information offline. This means you could still create all of your documents offline and they would sync when you came back online.
So... What you're saying is... Using the Android OS for COUNTER-terrorism, is a terroristic activity?
Too late, Puerto Rico has already claimed the title of being our 51st state.
Next Up: X.1 Surround Sound. Drywall with built-in speakers, THAT would be awesome.
It appears they are driving in the bicycle lane? Another 25 MPH useless NEV...
Actually, Mr Darren Murph, you are COMPLETELY wrong. The GEMcar (classified as a NEV, or Neighborhood Electric Vehicles, which would be in the same class as the Wheego Whip) company is owned by Chrysler and has been out for YEARS, so it's not been "hard" for a company to get it out at all. Also, the GEMcar costs LESS THAN HALF (probably close to one third) of what this one does, and gets the job done just the same, but if you get the GEMcar e6, it holds 6 passengers and still comes to only about $15K - less than the price of this one, but can carry 3 times as much.
I think that thing is hideous. The Tesla Roadster and the Tesla Model S are BOTH more attractive to me than that thing...
@Jacob - What about Apple's dick move of intentionally breaking the Pre sync? There's no call for that, they could just allow Palm's vendor ID to sync with iTunes, but instead they choose to be jerks about it and only allow their software to work with their hardware. It's actually kinda stupid if you ask me. I've started buying my music from the Amazon MP3 store because 1) a lot of times it is cheaper, 2) I can use whatever software I please to manage my music and 3) I don't have to worry about PAYING AGAIN for MUSIC I ALREADY BOUGHT through iTunes because I want it DRM-FREE.
The Android OS phones - the G1 and the myTouch/Ion/G2/Magic - actually allow you to purchase music from Amazon on the phone over the WiFi *or* 3G/GPRS/EDGE connection AND you can copy the music - DRM FREE - to your computer if you hook your Android phone up to your laptop with the USB cable - Mac or PC. You can manage your music with whatever program you want. It's taking a while, but I think the Android OS will rise to - or close to - the top.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
