And they'll pay the bill, too.
its more powerful than my desktop
Wow.. the evil is only coming from one source, and to be clear, I never sad, implied, or boiled down to "I wouldn't do this, so anyone who would is stupid."

Ravnos seems to be so enraged with his preconceived notion that I'm "dumping" on his game, that my point went right over his head.
I like guitar hero...it introduces a variety of different music to a broader audience. I have played it, and I play real guitar.

@Seabee, the corollary you draw to my logic isn't quite what I was getting at. the game and the real thing are two different things...but the controller costs the same as the real thing. What I don't get is that people seem ok with letting the manufacturers get away with it. That they actually spend that much. I know that people will buy the Tony Hawk balance board, when a real board costs way less than a hundred bucks, and those people may not have any desire to skate for real.

If you could fly a flight simulator go on a real for the
yeah... the first desktop i bought way back was upgradeable to 32....MB. I think it had 4 MB standard, and it was shared with the graphics. It also had a (almost) top of the line 150Mhz Pentium, which is now slower than the processor in my cell phone.

so that was 14 years ago in 95, how does that compare to moores law... I'll leave the math to someone else.
How am I a troll for continuing a discussion of fake guitars? I didn't start it. And I also didn't say there's anything wrong with it, just that I prefer the real thing...its a more satisfying return on my investment.

I was actually looking for an intelligent response, from somebody who is into the guitar hero or rock band thing, like Ghen began. He can play the game well, and its not as fun as the real thing.

It just seems that you have to spend time working on hand/eye and timing and such to do it. Some people are really into music- and may be interested in learning how to play . And for $200 they could get a real guitar.

I'm not bashing your precious video game, idiot. And I don't think I'll be fucking off today, thanks. You may want to work on your conversation skills a bit though... just because people put comments or ask about posts they are interested in doesn't make them a troll.
well, don't forget the haff-comm branding.

He's only haff block.
Ya know, for $200 you could buy a REAL guitar. Not the top of the line, but decent enough to play. Flight simulator and racing games make sense to me, but playing fake guitar, for about the same money as a real one?
I will never understand this.
@duh
thats a pretty big move for an industry. Do you have a link to the article? I would love to check it out.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
