Does this mean that the PS3 Blu-Ray player or Xbox 360 HD-DVD player will play better or at least equal to the standalone players?
What is an Austrailian scientist?
As always, the anti-Sony crowd gets their bit first.

Hey guess what? You're all dumb fucks! They've got the mapping software on sale in Japan with the same for the USA or even world on the way. That's for around $40.

If you're too cheap to pay that little, there're homebrew maps that work with the PSP like at this site:

http://deniska.dcemu.co.uk/

you people will do anything (but not research) to ridicule Sony.
Anyone without a PSP is bound to search fervently for a reason to diss this thing. It's sad but true. If this thing costs less than $200 and has relatively good GPS software, it's a steal for anyone smart enough to have gotten a PSP.
I've made a robot that can do this. I used a Lego Mindstorms starter kit.
"What good is a HD-DVD Drive or Blu-ray Drive for a computer if Windows Vista does not support it?"

Haha what a complete moron. It's the 32-bit Vista that won't support it. Who doesn't have a 64-bit processor?
Ha ha yeah right. The kid obviously loves Macs.
"M$ is horrible because they have a huge market share and they have a tendency to get viruses and crash more than a mac."

You idiot. Computers are not some magical world where some have "tendencies" to get more viruses or crash. For a virus to infect a computer, someone has to write the virus. Everyone with a brain knows that Windows has a giant market share. So, if you're going to write a virus and want to infect the maximum amount of users, which OS will you write it for?
People are so gullible. One or two hoaxes show up on the internet, and suddenly EVERYONE HAS AN EXPLODING LAPTOP. You people will believe anything you read.
#10, the Steelpad Gaming mouse pad.

I should get this because I just built my first personal computer and I don't have a mouse pad for my optical mouse, so I've had to use a folder! Very annoying, I really need one of these.

ME WANT MOUSE PAD
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
