I'm disgusted.
This is a complete waste of perfectly usable technology. >:(
How are the Nokia internet tablets shitty?, keep in mind that they are not umpc's, they are basicly Linux-based MID's.

Btw, i use one all the time and i'm more than happy with it's performance. it's one of the most versatile devices i've ever owned. In fact, i'm currently dual-booting Ubuntu and Maemo and (was) using Android and Debian for a short while, and Gentoo is currently being ported to the device.

Also, Nokia is currently working on a OpenGL enabled device witch shuld be available by q3-q4 of 2009.

My advice - do a little more reasherch before you start making blind statements about other devices.
:P
It looks fairly expensive, i have a good bet that this will be someware in the relm of $350-$500. :(
I perfer Ubuntu, mainly because to me it is user-frendly, powerful, graphical and, it is fun to hack :D

I am also a user/moder of MaemoOS2008 witch is for the N800 and N810.

And i am also a software maintainer for the Gnome Desktop Environment for the Deblet project at www.trac.tspre.org/projects/deblet, witch is aimed at fully porting the Debian distrobution to the N8xx internet tablet devices.
That phone looks realy ugly. :P
Is the Linux os Debian or RedHat based? if it is Debian-based, i'd look into installing a app called libgtkstylus, I use it for mouse click handling all the time.
It appears so..... :P, although, you can get an N80 with a similar/same graphics card as the N10's with a dual-core prosesor to boot.. If you are willing to spend a fuew hundred dollars more.... :(
TareX, give it a chance, there ARE third party applications out for it and it IS fairly responsive.

just go to internettablettalk.com, go to forums, click on Alternitives and, click on android. then you will see the point.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
