iPhone SDK apps: AIM and others headed your way {Engadget}

Mar 6th 2008 4:19PM I would love an multi-client IM app... beside the ones I'm using. Sure iphone.beejive.com & meebo.com work decent, but not good enough. You disconnect if you get out of Safari or answer a call. I don't care who makes it to be honest. Adium/Trillian/Pidgin/etc... as long as it works!!!

Acer: Eee PC killer on track for Q2/Q3 {Engadget}

Mar 5th 2008 6:52PM I'll laugh if after the first few hours of when ENGADGET gets their paws on one of these "killers" and post it's naked body to find out it has an ACER motherboard. :P

Acer: Eee PC killer on track for Q2/Q3 {Engadget}

Mar 5th 2008 6:42PM My thoughts exactly! I've heard the world "KILLER" being used so many things already. If by killer it means ACER going to die in shares/comparison... then perhaps. The EEE PC sold out in what... 4 hours the first day on newegg? Then was recogized by Fortune Magazine.

How would you change Apple's Penryn-based MacBook Pro? {Engadget}

Feb 29th 2008 8:37PM The design is starting to get old, but I still love it. The whole brushed aluminum is to distinguish the entry level macs from the pros. It's a status symbol thing and is understandable. Besides the built-in iSight and the change/order in ports the powerbook has the same look. They atleast gave the iBook a minor facelift (lost the latch, etc...) and give it a new flavor (black). The HDMI instead of DVI is a great idea. SSD is fairly new and will improve as it's grows (lengthen write/life cycle, size for less money, even less battery power), but I wouldn't mind seeing it a MBP. mrussell,.. it sucks that the remote is a $19 add on, but they finally lowered their ram prices by a couple hundred dollars. The previous MBP was $700 to upgrade to 4gb and now it's $400 upgrade. Still WAY TOO MUCH, but a foot in the right direction. No one meantioned anything about the VGA camera... better camera would be nice. Better superdrive... the little bastard is sensitive as hell and doesn't read everything. Some DDR3 like in the MAC PRO would be sexy! I wouldn't mind seeing a 12-inch (even though it'll never happen). How I miss the little G4 powerbook.
