I'd love to get Kinemac -- it looks like a great way to some animations I've been wanting to do.

Thanks for offering this contest!
The Wikipedia article has an image that will be more than hi-res enough (you may want to crop it for your desktop, so that it's widescreen). Here's the direct link: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3a/Notre-Dame_de_Montr%C3%A9al_Basilica_Rectilinear_Jan_2006.jpg

I saw it when I visited Montreal a few years ago; it's just as (if not more) beautiful in person.
Happy birthday, Engadget, and thanks again for the opportunity! :-)
I've been reading Engadget for a while now (thinking back, I'm surprised at how long it's been!). I love the work you do -- thanks so much for all the learning and enjoyment I've gotten from reading your posts all this time!
That is a beautiful photo heading this post.
I don't have any current-generation consoles, nor an HDTV, so this would be a really fun bundle for me to win! :-)
San Francisco, please! I want to get out to CA for a bit to explore some career opportunities, and this would be a wonderful way to do it -- especially with noise-canceling headphones. I mean, really -- is there a better way to go? :-)
I waited with a friend for 14 hours on release night for a Wii, but didn't get one for myself (I was there for the fellowship and to provide moral support). I've wanted one ever since -- but haven't seen one in a store since then! It would be a lot of fun to win. :-)
There's this one beautiful shot that follows Leonidas as he cuts his way through a number of soldiers -- the footage keeps switching between sped-up and slow motion, and is incredibly stylized in its visual approach. And to top it off, it ends with this awe-inspiring smash of Leonidas's shield against the last oncoming soldier, which is overwhelming due to the sheer physical power behind the blow.

Awesome.
I went to the Apple store yesterday to try one out, just for fun (unfortunately, I can't afford one right now). Not having owned a smartphone before, I think one of the things I'm most looking forward to is "the Internet in my pocket", as there are many times when I wish I was able to check something when out and about, but wasn't able to do so. If I had, I might have been able to make better-informed decisions about things that required a bit of on-the-spot research (like comparing prices when in a store, or re-checking a fact in a news story being discussed with a friend, etc.).

Though the widescreen video iPod, coupled with the fantastic phone and calendar interfaces are very attractive, too . . . :-)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
