@lindsays android got mentioned along with ubuntu (not all that important to yall but HUGE to me and probably many other linux users)
so happy engadget gave some love to linux 2.6
i know im just a fanboy for sony but i still have to say it. the ps2 was the a much bigger innovation than 360. it was designed to be a media center (dvd cd and games) it just couldnt do everything at once which is understandable for when it came out but in my opinion ps3 was also more innovative than 360 or wii thats why i bought it. it uses a ground breaking new processor that intel couldnt catch up to until they released corei7 two years later it launched as one of the first bluray players not to mention the cheapest and all around best. better (albiet unused) motion sensing capabilities than the wii (took wii motion+ to be close to on par) and a built in web browser with flash support. when sony made the ps3 they were releasing a full fledged home entertainment system that can't be matched even today for the price trust me ive tried
@MikeWard1701 has everyone forgotten the lg expo already?
i happen to like their pmp line i have an aria gogear its a 16 gig for 80 dollars has all the features you would expect in a pmp and comes with media converter and youtube downloader to install the only problem i have with their pmps is that they use a proprietary video format
@Johanu you just helped me realize everything. and i now seriously believe that google will take over the world. they must have figured this out all the way back during the dotcom boom. they are following red hat and novell in using open source to reduce cost and free software to help promote their more usefull server software
@simbadogg ........clap.....clap....clap...clap..clap.clap
Damn. That, was an amazing rant. Bravo sir, bravo.
im not a big fan of winmo (mostly because I'm stuck with 6.0 on a duo) but the expo and hd2 have kinda made me want to believe there is still hope
@Duke
that would be because wordperfect is better heck i prefer corel's whole suite over microsoft's (plus its cheaper)
@Caliber68 right on ubuntu is the best i have to use win7 for my gaming but my lappy is very karmic. if ubuntu made a phone os i would buy that phone immediately regardless of everything else
@Caliber68 you have some points but being a linux fan i cant help but like android the only problem i have with it is that android loses a lot of flexibility by not using x11(if you don't know what this is look it up) and makes it much more proprietary which pisses me off because i expected it to be more like winmo being able to just pull .cab files off the internet
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
