This is not a netbook, it'll probably cost about thrice that

and before you scream unreasonable price, this is not trying to be a netbook, it is a ultra-lite laptop designed for mobile professionals - 'Road warriors'

and if that is too expensive for somebody who doesn't need it to buy it for fun, who cares? IT IS NOT NETBOOK.
Always remove VAT (@ 17.5%) from UK prices!
I bought my iPod killer four years ago - rio Karma
It's out now, it has been bought and reviewed already - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=282100

Looks pretty awesome, I think 9700m gt is the most that is wise in a 15.4" notebook

also purchaseable in cheap mode via best buy
50% more power or so, hopefully similar power consumption.

not as toasty or cheap as some might suggest.
the macbook being a good example of which particular quality..?
@ Ian:

that is probably because of all the crap you have on your c2d system.
I have a lappy with the t5600 in it and it gets slower with every piece of crapware I get fooled into putting on it (I need to clean)
UK prices include 17.5% VAT, there is no point doing a direct comparison to US prices
also Zepto only really sells in Europe, so it is not suprising you yanks have not heard of it.

9600gt is a good balance of performance and power in a 15", last time i looked it got 4500 - 5000 in 3dmark06

Asus has some margin, companies undercutting it probably have very little/ none . Intel is raking it i think though, last time i heard the atom cost like £7 and they were selling it for several x more than that.

but yeah you may be right that they only made the atom because they felt the competition was trying there
you mean Eeerie

sorry
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
