MEEEEE!!! omg my video card died like 2 weeks ago i need a new one and this one would be insane.
Maybe if you call Comcast having a complete monopoly on broadband "wired" ...
Engadget authors often lose scientific breakthrough stories in translation, and almost always overstate (presumably unintentionally) the benefits of these "breakthroughs". This ridiculous story reminds me of the one about wind turbines that claimed wind turbine efficiency was greatly improved by making them smaller and attaching them together with a CARBON FIBER POLE...(fyu wind turbine efficiency decreases as they get smaller, and the pole which connects them.. well what the heck does a pole have to do with anything!) Engadget is ok for gadgets, but they fail hard at science.
why compare a single drive to eight drives..

"the unit is able to achieve 150,000 to 160,000 random write IOPS with a bandwidth of 800MB/sec per card.. ... though Fusion-io's CTO proclaims that users can achieve "over 6GB per second" when using EIGHT of its ioDrives in conjunction. "

That's like me saying, Engadget writes about 8 articles a day, But 8 competitors put out over 60 total articles a day!!!
yeah they had one swoop angle, which made me realize that they had to sync that swoop on both ends, maybe they just jerry rigged it with a countdown, or maybe they actually had robotic booms networked. Either way it was creative, but looked like crap in application.
3d mark tests without AA are silly. Its like turning the resolution to 640x480 to try and eek out better numbers. If you are going to buy a system like that you sure as hell are gunna run AA and probably a lot higher resolution that that as well. But its all about the big numbers i suppose.
You can sell it as is now, doesn't mean it's good for anything. Their goal should be something like: robot to be useful and not a novelty within 10 years.
there is no reason to make a pv cylindrical, they are just wasting surface area, and increasing cost. Their argument is that it "cools better" and they have a rediculous graphic showing how bad normal panels are in the wind... don't fall for novelty bs people cmon
I've only owned 1 Razer product ever and i can say it was the worst product i have owned in my entire life. not to mention customer support is non existent unless you count automated email responses support. Added ontop of all this, they scam their owne consumers with "beta key" give aways where you supposedly get a beta key for being a razer customer, you just have to fill out a "survey" (document they sell to ad targeting services who will spam you) once you complete their online survey they then redirect you to a page saying "sorry all beta keys are gone" THANKS FOR FREAKING TELLING ME AFTER I SPENT 30 MINUTES FILLING OUT YOUR S@%TY SURVEY RAZER.

I suppose if you just like having tons of LED's all over your computer, and don't care about quality or performance, then razer might be ok.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
