The D300 looks like a really superb piece of equipment.

However, I guarantee the D200 takes better pictures than you do, so don't stress about it. Enjoy your D200.

I appreciate that Engadget wanted to put something up about the new cameras, but this is an effing terrible set of pictures and there's absolutely no commentary about them. Considering there are great pictures of both the D3 and the D300 on other websites, I was hoping for a little more content.
Obviously when he kicks the messenger down the well.

Awesome movie.
Ugh, I hate people bringing that up, Justin.

McDonalds consciously kept the coffee far hotter than normal temperatures to reduce the amount they would have to throw away when it cooled off. She didn't sue because she burned herself. She sued because McDonalds deliberately used a dangerous practice despite many instances of people burning themselves.
We should get rid of all warnings, and substitute them with one generic one:

"Warning: the world is dangerous, morons may suffer injury and generally crappy lives. Don't be a moron."
Have you guys never seen one of these fountains before? I think they have them in every science museum on the planet.

Regardless, it's cool in this mini-application and cooler that he made it himself.
Ferny, uh, maybe they turned it off?

Let's add the Pentax *ist to the list of poorly named products. Not only is it unpronouncable, it's difficult for the average person to search for without turning up every -ist word in the world because of the wildcard.
ex-casio, megapixel count isn't everything. More megapixels packed into a small space doesn't improve image quality that much. You get a lot more noise as well.

MobileMistress, image stabilization is only a help with low light shots. For nighttime shots, you need a tripod and non-moving subjects. Once you get below 1/30th of a second, you're into shaky territory and you'll find a lot of your shots will turn out blurry.
So... May I assume that this Linux based router is flashable with normal firmware, thus removing the Fon sharing?

Not, of course, that I would ever do such a thing.
Um, I want to see some numbers to back up the claims of "higher efficiency".

A chain based drivetrain like we run now is VERY, VERY efficient. As efficient as any mechanical system around.

I'm not an engineer, but isn't one of the main power losses in any drive system from changing the direction of the power? Which is why a rotary engine is so efficient? With a chain based drivetrain, you have a directly driven rear wheel in the same direction as the power being generated. This has to change the power's direction twice.

This is fine, and there have been other AWD bikes on the market that have used drive shafts, but I don't see the chain based drivetrain being replaced anytime soon. It's just too damn efficient.
Wow.

Two room 5.1 sound, 5 HDMI upscaling ports...

I love this quote:

"What we have here is an amp that goes up to 11."

And only the price of a good used car...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
