Focusing was definitely a problem on earlier models, but the S52 has noticeably better AF than the S50 and S51. I think they also fixed the problem where a clock will flash in the lower corner of the screen seemingly randomly. Most Ritz/Wolf Camera stores already have these ($249), for those of you looking for them.
