I'm in a Circuit City that's closing with two others within half an hour closing as well. The closest once is going to be an hour away. Luckily I'm a student and this job is just for extra money but I'm really sad for those who actually have this as a full-time job. Not a single person(including managers) is being transfered. At least our PC, car, video guys are being kept around just put out on the sales floor.

My store really did the best it could under the circumstances. Things like that Compaq that we were losing like 25% on though didn't help. We can't be expected to be selling enough firedog or warranty to make up for that. Most people look into buying a cheap computer don't want to pay extra for those things.
My box does an automatic switch from 480p to 720p for the HD channels and it does not do it for this channel. It's nice that they have it right away though. If you care to have this channel in HD you can go to the planet green site and find your local provider and then click request in HD.

I bet Cablevision(and others) simply aren't sure how high demand is going to be for the channel and if it's worth taking up the bandwidth for it.
I am a huge mac fan and I'll admit design wise this is pretty amazing. It's exciting to see a company like Dell which isn't known for its aesthetics make a distinct and beautiful product like this. I really would like to see the specs. If they can match/beat the Mini(which isn't that hard) then hats off to Dell.
That's pretty interesting. My friends and I have a great deal for respect for the design of Lacie's drives but have always found cheaper external drives. I'm personally a fan of FantomDrive, its all I've had and they've been great.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
