It's using a concave mirror with the display, so it would appear to be floating in space if you were there in person. With the single-lens camera, you can at least see the effect of the perspective shift as the camera is panned around the "object".
The fact that they're going to charge for the auction is fine, but it's still poorly phrased. They should say that 100% of the profits will go to charity instead of the sale price. The price doesn't change because of the fees, so the phrasing doesn't stay true.
