Jul 19th 2008 7:21PM "including a button delete forty-two characters exactly"
And here it is, yet another strawman from the apologist camp: The thoroughly played-out "slippery slope" argument.
But they couldn't even field that lame argument correctly. We're talking about a standard key that ALREADY exists on 95 percent of computers sold, but Apple has seen fit to omit and force all of its users to work around.
Can't even say "nice try" to your retort, because, well, it was lame.

Jul 19th 2008 6:51PM "If you are just doing email and word processing then you need windows. if you are doing graphic design and stuff, then you need apple."
Way to regurgitate stereotypes that were bullshit from day one.
Today, in fact, they're the opposite: Photoshop and the rest of Adobe's suite barely runs on the Mac OS, riddled with defects (check their forums if you don't believe it).
Actually, they're riddled with defects on both platforms, but far less crippled under Windows.

Jul 19th 2008 6:47PM No, because most of the real damage is caused by people bashing the shit out of the side of your car with their doors. This is utterly worthless for those incidents.

Jul 19th 2008 6:20PM Typical apologists: When presented with a flaw in their pet product, they always respond with, "Well, I don't need that anyway."
"I have no need for a forward delete -- you just have to get used to clicking ahead, not behind."
CLICKING? Thus proving my point: A simple operation that you can do using only one key on most computers requires you to use two hands, two keys, or two devices on a Mac laptop. There should be no need to use a trackpad, mouse, or function keys to delete characters in either direction at the insertion point.
"While the apple delete key functions as the MS "backspace" key"
Ah, the ignorance. It has nothing to do with Microsoft. Try these keys under ANY other GUI. They function properly. Even the regular Apple keyboards have both of these functions, despite the mislabeling.
But what do you expect from Apple, who inexplicably sets up its GUI to skip most types of fields when advancing through them with the Tab key? And who specially DISABLES the right button on its own multi-button mouse by default, when other vendors' right buttons work properly out of the box on Mac OS?
Motorola sues former employee turned Apple exec for ganking trade secrets {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 19th 2008 5:17PM The question is, why would Apple hire any of these clowns? After all, this guy presided over the collapse of a once-dominant player in the phone market.
The utter cluelessness of Motorola since the Razr (or, more likely, the StarTAC) stands as testament to the incompetence of its leadership.
