Adobe points finger at Apple over Flash for iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 10th 2009 6:24AM The last thing anyone should do is encourage more shitty Flash-based Web sites.
Nothing marks a company as amateur-hour like another cheeseball Flash site, with stupid transitions, noises, and "Loading..." banners every time you try to navigate.
But actually, it's worse than amateurish; it'll cost you business when mobile users can't find your locations or phone number from their cars, because all that is buried in a stupid Flash animation. Flash is what hack designers use to impress ignorant company decision-makers in a conference-room demo.
Use standard Web presentation technology, and fight to advance it; stop wasting time bleating over proprietary Macromedia horseshit that lingered way longer than it should have.
Wireless Keyboard Update 2.0 now available {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 10th 2009 6:15AM A number pad? How about they start by putting a real goddamned Delete key on the small keyboard and their LAPTOPS?
The level of ignorance required to make this mistake (having only a Backspace key) over and over is simply mind-boggling.
Bowers & Wilkins first ever P5 headphones follow the iPod money trail {Engadget}
Nov 10th 2009 6:04AM Buying high-quality audio components is useless unless you're listening to music mastered before the late '90s or to movies.
Thanks to the record companies destroying every recording with dynamic compression to make it "louder", the days of high-quality sound are over (unless you record it yourself or listen to truly obscure labels).
And the best part? NO ONE BENEFITS. We all lose decades of musical masterpieces, for no reason.
It's not bad enough that these jerkoffs are working overtime to ensure their own extinction and abuse former customers. They're also systematically destroying our entire musical heritage.

Nov 9th 2009 7:46PM MONIKER, that is.
Gigaware adapter brings HD Radio to iPod touch and iPhone for $80 {Engadget}
Nov 9th 2009 7:45PM The "HD" monitor is obviously bogus for being applied to audio, but also because HD Radio is compressed to hell. Sound & Vision did an article about it a few years ago and found that it basically sucks.
'What Is Flickr?' Question Flummoxes Folks on the Street {Switched.com}
Nov 9th 2009 4:17PM Yes, which is exactly why the name Flickr never made sense for site that had still images only.
