well it took me a few minutes to remember where i've seen this before and this is it:

http://www.draganfly.com/

Draganfly has been around for ages (lots of fun as far as I can tell!).

This aeryon bot thing isn't so "innovative" (sic their website) and waaay more expensive than it has any right to be it looks to me.
I would love to know where in africa (to use an example) any of these children will get internet connectivity... even GPRS costs money in 1st world contries, so imagine how it is here in africa (I live here)!

And don't expect free wifi access points in every rural village "coffee shop" (cum beer garden! *grin*), since access points obviously don't exist almost anywhere, let alone be free (rural areas, before you jump on me - besides, they cost money to use when they are around!).

I hope these things come with at least _some_ type of information (educational games, e-books, interactive learning stuff, whatever) already installed, else what's the point?

I think you just invited a sh|tstorm. good luck :D

But then, to your credit, I did actually read your REALLY long comment to the end. Even though I got bored halfway ... *yawn* need a snooze now. *snore*
As with all things digital (and some not): it's hackable.

Even the best encryption has some vulnerability to a hack of some sort, whether it's a digital attack or a physical misuse of the process using the tech.

That's what i'm saying... im-pos-sible. not even vaguely likely. This is a misprint/misinterpretation by the battery manufacturer. Or a blatant lie by either the phone maker or manufacturer or both.

Really how stupid do they think we are?

Oh wait... a lot of people here seem to think it's really cool and want one ... jeeez.

There goes my faith in our collective intelligence.
@Chris: "Sr Dipshit"! ROTFL!!! good one.
not so much feasible. the size is impossible. it's just ... errr ... freakin' impossible I tell ya! really! impossible! :-D

don't mind me, just a bit surprised that a bunch of supposed Geeks reading engadget wouldn't understand the first thing about lipoly/liion batteries ... . I'll shut up now, thanks for that, engadget ... :)
Lithium ion should normally be charged at 1C, which means a HUGE charger for 1 hour (plus about 20 minutes for the last bit of charge at steadily less than 1C). Shouldn't make much difference to the charge time compared to a normal sized lithium ion/poly, unless they don't have a charger that can produce this much in a small enough form factor to be practical. But if they really can make this battery, then the charger must be the least of the problems they've had to over-come.
Agreed, i mean seriously, next they'll tell us they have a 1mm cubed nuclear micropile that can run for 2000 years ... i mean, really ... :/
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
