From Xavier over at Notebooks.com who claims to have had a no-pictures play with a working prototype:
http://www.notebooks.com/2009/09/09/dell-adamo-xps-a-9-99mm-thick-concept-notebook/

"The Dell Adamo XPS is an ultraportable-sized device and not a netbook" so I'm guessing it's a good chance it's not an Atom.
"The Adamo XPS has a full keyboard that flips away from the display." so I'm guessing it's not a tablet either.
@ShirkPower

Wow, that's what I said about the iPhone too.

Omnia: 123 x 59 x 12.9 mm
iPhone: 115.5 x 62.1 x 12.3 mm

I think people in the market wouldn't think the size of an Omnia was necessarily a problem.
Let me introduce you to the world of "external screens" ....
Not a joke / flame / etc. - I am only *wondering*: apart from the developer being able to develop a web-app that can run on any HTML5 compliant browser, what does it offer the end user that current applications don't already, e.g. the default email programs on the iPhone / WinMo devices all have "offline" capability, push features plus security don't they?
When a reply comes with this level of grammar and no proof, it's hard to believe it's authenticity.
"big extruding thing on the back" ...??? It's a security device so you can't walk away with the phone unnoticed! Have you never seen one before? I'm sure that if I could stand to have something as big as an iPhone in my pocket, I probably wouldn't mind this one.
@sbrown23

My router sits in a semi-central point in my house, on the wall next to my kitchen bench. My computer is a laptop, which I take to work on occasion. Just because you don't use the features, it does not invalidate the design.

Your comment is stupid and pointless. FAIL.
@Elliott Boot:

You'll find that in most places in the world (and even on the net), things tend to balance themselves out eventually. If the authors of a public blog are openly biased toward or against a certain issue / person / company etc. You'll end up with a lot of public comment opposing that viewpoint.

You *could* always migrate to gizmodo if that does it for you too ...
@bjrcboy

Those two illustrations in your argument appear to be quite different things entirely. Illustration 1 is entitled "Principles of the HIGH RESOLUTION Demonstration"; Illustration 2 is entitled Principle of the HIGH FRAME RATE Demonstration. They aren't the same thing, so that argument is ... a little flawed.
Sigh, 12, ok it's early for me in this part of the world. I've low ranked myself. :P
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
