Do you actually own one of those HTC phones? I have the TP and I don't really mind that stuff.
This is how I responded to those non-existent/bad features:
No jack: you know there is no jack, so you buy for like $20 an additional adapter which works fine for me... If you buy a $600 phone those $20 shouldn't slap you in the face...
Bad buttons: I actually agree (if you're talking about the direction-keys), till the moment you're using it for a month and you realize that with a touchscreen you actually never use them.
I'm using the TP for little more than a year and must say I'm very pleased with it, but of course running a custom rom :D
'Spy shots' of a phone that I'm already owning for 3 months?
Cons: - Scrolling isn't always really smooth because WM6 lacks a good graphics engine (this compared to the iPhone) - Virtual keyboard appears in landscape mode too, while you have the keyboard open and there is no setting to disable this (though this is a minor firmware issue) - Only supports Wireless-G (poor support for B)
But on the whole it's a great phone with great organizing and media capabilities.
Why is it better than the iPhone? - MicroSD slot - QWERTY keyboard - Front-VGA camera - WM 6 (I like this feature because I can write software for it and also because I can play Guitar Hero 3)
- You don't have to marry a service-provider (at least in Europe)
Not that hard of a choice iPhone does not have a camera, neither does it have micro-sd slot the Diamond does not have the sd slot and it doesn't have wifi and touch pro has all, i think the choice is quite easy to make... of course depending on your needs.
alright... ENOUGH! lets shine some light on the points made above.
Apple is paying people for ideas; is this really true? for my idea they we're the first OS to handle Jeff Han's Multi-touch screen http://cs.nyu.edu/~jhan/ftirtouch/ this to clear out another point made: Apple copies from other companies. Here I'm NOT stating that Microsoft ISN'T original, but because Microsoft's more popular to the wider public, it's just a misunderstanding people make because they assume Microsoft has the original idea.
And great, yet another comment discussion about the originality of Vista vs. OSX. Yes, OSX is the original one, but that does not downgrade the originality of Vista. Alike most of the companies do (and some should start doing) Microsoft asked peoples opinion on product improvements, to deliver a quality product. Now I don't want to start a discussion on what Vista's quality is, but just to mention it. As a result, Vista looks like OSX in user-functional ways, because of it's costumers.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
