Finally, devices with less noise/buzzing/whizzing!
Do Americans have overly sensitive hearing? Everytime I read about electronics, it's always Americans complaining about noisefrom their gadgets (Apple, Xbox360). I have both MBP and XBox360 and yes they make some noise. Anything that has movable part is bound to makes noise unless you put magnetic or air cushions on your parts. As long as its not so loud as to affect my work or gaming. *rolling my eyes*
people with more money than sense. Instead of destroying a perfectly good PS3 for selfish joy and reasons, why don't you just give the damn thing to charity for kids who may value it more than some redneck inbreeds.... only in America....
Very true, Sean. disciple83 can be all intellectual in your arguments but bring up baseless juvenile finger pointing accusations just make you look and sound like a moron. And kiddie porn comments? Not funny, tasteless, and vile.
Yet another idea from Star Trek becoming reality! Sorry I'm a Trekkie
How fast will the Mac Pro be in comparision with a Mac Book Pro - that's what I'd like to know. I use Final Cut Pro and finally updated to the Universal version and boy does it fly!

For those of you who wish to buy the Mac pro but short of cash, its easy. Start a business, then get the Mac Pro as a piece of office equipment and write it off as company expense and hence tax deductible! DROOL.. if I get more video shoots and editing jobs, who knows, I might have one sitting on my desktop!!
Nothing to do with the topic at hand but more of an editorial comment... in the article you wrote:

The UN recognises EHS as a "real and sometimes disabling condition," and say that around 3% of the world's population is effected by high frequency magnetic radiation in such ways.

I think the word 'E-ffected' should read 'A-ffected'. Just being pedantic
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
