At least it's not held together with gaffer tape like the originals were!
So what makes the average PC user go into an Apple store I wonder?
They're not quite the same, however, "Orange" is the name of three different companies if not more; a telecommunications company, a maker of guitar amps and a maker of mountain bikes as well as being a piece of fruit. The number of times I've been out to buy a piece of fruit and come back with either an iPod or a bunch of Beatles records- I think I'm going to sue.
It's so ugly it would make little kids wet themselves!!

I remember watching an episode of the computer chronicles which aired in Jan 2002. They did a review of XP and said that if you already owned windows 2000 you might be better off waiting for Longhorn which should be out sometime in 2003. Now they have set a date of Jan 2007 (maybe)! HAHAHAHA. Oh Microsoft you've given me a hernia I'm laughing so much.......

Prices in the UK include tax, so the price before tax is £289 which is approx $499.
The cheapest I've seen a 32" HD ready Samsung LCD, with digital tuner, is about £820 ($1167 before tax)
This is the worst Apple event ever. Usually I'm left inspired thinking "how did they think of that?"- but come on, a speaker with an ipod plonked on top is not cutting edge indusustrial design- it's not even worthy of Dell. And a $100 price hike for a computer with integrated graphics? I really feel that this was a chance to grow Apple's market share, unfortunately they just seem to be getting greedy and everything thing they once stood for is evaporating!
I hope that is a pre-production model. If you compare the pictures of the inside of this one with the 17" G5 on the same site, it's a complete mess. Apple has always put a lot of planning into its products both inside and out, I think this could be a change for the worse. It really looks like it has been assembled in a rush with little planning.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
