In reality, I have found the slideshow effect so distracting that I end up playing with the frame for a while and switching it off.
Photo frames are a bit like daytime TV: too eye-catching to simply glance at, but not entertaining enough to sit and watch for very long.
provided Apple is not totally original, your view leaves no room for anything but unique devices. Development is typically incremental, and this phone is a good example of cashing on the excitement while offering an alternative. At least they are meeting the iPhone challenge head-on, rather than leaving the market solely to Apple.

@Paul Miller, since the 8GB iPhone starts at $400 with a lock-in contract, this device is likely to be competitive (margins are slim, after all).

"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
