@coreyflood I ordered mine 11/10, so a day after you, and the website still says 12/21 shipping for me after having been bumped back from original ship date. I haven't received any email, so I don't know what to expect.

Before the site said mine would ship on 12/11 until 12/12, then it jumped to 12/21...so even if I don't get any word on it tomorrow I can't expect it actually ships out...
I was looking forward to the hero but unfortunately it is still running last gen hardware. For the general consumer that doesn't make much difference I guess, but the general consumer also doesn't care that it is running android either.

I am now looking forward to future offerings from HTC and hope they can put something out there that can really compete with the iphones hardware and software.
That is sad news indeed. My first Sony ultra portable was the V505, that was the smallest laptop ever! I used that thing for years and years and always got compliments on it. Build quality was good too.

I had been eyeing this VAIO TT, but I was hoping it'd get updated and offer DVI out instead of analog. RIP TT.
Just popped up on amazon, ordered!
...meaning, it was probably what many people were thinking :D
and I thought I was so clever when this was the first thing that came to mind...
I had canceled my subscription to netflix over a year ago and only used my xbox 360 for watching the occasional rented movie. As soon as I read about netflix instant watch on my xbox, I re-subscribed to netflix and now used my xbox 360 almost daily. I find myself watching things I'd never buy from the store, like old Magnum P.I. episodes! :D

If your connection to the internet is good, the quality is very satisfactory. But I could understand people being frustrated if they just can't get the throughput from their provider needed.

Anyway, in short, instant watch is THE feature that will keep netflix alive long into the future, and i'll likely be subscribed for quite some time.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
