i officially dislike ngmoco .. after a few of their comment posts, after reading the way they talk about themselves and their games (most likely the ceo writing all of this) they are just a sellout co in it to make a buck and think, or try to make other people believe they are the greatness.

Under the cloud of bs they are the same shady business types and pull the same moves.

I wanted to make an app to scan barcodes and do price comparison but the problem is it would most likely take a few tries to get a pic that's suffecient. I "could" use the live camera feed and the app would work awesome, but apple wouldn't allow it in the store. So it's a loose loose situation for everyone.
are all these commenters new to iphone dev? you all realize apple apps dont run in the same sandbox as 3rd party apps and can write to their own bundles and do things YOU cant. im guessing symlinks is one of them, if thats even the "exploit".
wow.. so i guess TUAW supports app piracy now since they even bother to post this video with a guy who obviously cracks, and uses cracked apps.

(you can tell by the icons not looking right, not having rounded edges)

good job!
I think its kind of messed uyp when you finally get accepted into the dev program, pay you fee, and finally feel you are on the same level as the lucky devs who got accepted early on, then thei new sdk and os version comes out and i dont get access to it? wtf. this dev favoritism needs to stop.
well, apple prob already has licensing deals worked out so they could prob do this very easily.
i actually never used a winmo phone so im not a 'fanboy' and i have been working on iphone apps since toolchain was released.
i was just surprised by the junk in the app store. i was expecting a lot of great apps, but only saw a handful.. and there are some nice games, but very unoriginal. every 3d game is the same as the last with different graphics, who cares if you drive a mario cart, crash bandicoot cart, motorcycle, or a monkey in a ball.. those games are almost clones of each other with a few different graphics.

and almost all "puzzle" games are the same aswell..

not trying to flame.. i just figured 6 months and alot of startup $ could have spawned alot better stuff than this.
appstore is a joke.. 95% are junk.. makes you wonder how apple chose who to accept to this 'limited' beta program for iphone development.
nice way to score some $$
basically just changed the look of the raging thunder game, im sure the engine they use was easy to adapt it to look like crash bandicoot.
that is stupid.. i can get an att account and i wont pay some absurd deposit to get one either.. id considar paying full price for the phone (399) but i wont pay a 500$ deposit + price of a phone because i have shitty credit. i actually prefer to have a prepaid phone, and if i cant get a new iphone ill just go back to a pos motorolla phone and use another carrier that offers better prices. like those ones that do unlimited calls for 39.99

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
