It says it will check for an update on 7/18...does it always check for updates weekly or does this mean something?

iTunes 7.7 is now saying that 1.1.4 is the latest version for the iPod Touch.

I got that before I updated to iTunes 7.7. But now it just hangs on the update anyway, so it's not going to work.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.

"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
