I don't know about the world, as I have been listening more to the debacle in the U.S. it's hard to imagine a solution coming from giving money to certain enterprises and leaving out others. What's even more discouraging is the way in which the monies are handed over, often times, and seemingly without regard to their use until afterwards when public outrage forces those in power to reconsider their moves. Sadly it feels as if some of the voiced thoughts in the government sound oddly undemocratic in the effort to save the economy. It would be a terrible and drastic day to give up ones support of a system in leiu of another for the continued support of a system which has become flawed due to economic crysis. I do think that this is the time for the banks to take more accountability for the services they offer especially in the housing market, and to find ways to remedy the problems aggressive lending has lead to. A series of checks and balances should apply to all, and possibly in the future, extend beyond the government.

What you need is a dictionary. Or Spell Check. Either Or works fine.
I don't know... the joystick looks like it would fit to the thumb of the left hand....unless I misunderstood what you're implying by saying right handed.
Why would you bring Joe to our attention again? I think the media has done enough of that with the recent presidential debates. Besides, picking on him to the be the subject of a gimmick isn't very nice either.
@Ryan

I was always under the impression that ultra portable meant the exact opposite of the things you just mentioned... I don't believe that you do "get it"
@SlavKO

Dear d,

There are plenty of devices that have used radial dials to do something before the ipod came out. A VCR is a classic exmample. Maybe you might not have been exposed to this, but before the ipod craze, I had a VCR that had a similar layout to that of the ipod. another vcr later actually used a twisty dial for seeking!(the whole layout "reeks" of copying the ipod which at that point was still the future). I originally thought this wasn't worth saying anything towards, but when i read your bold and loud statement, the first thing I could think of was other round things, like a rotary phone, or simone says.

Do I own an iPod? yes. Do I compare every UI design out there to it, or another apple product? no.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
