10 minutes = 600 seconds
193,285,440 joules / 600 seconds = 322,142 joules per second, or watts.
watts / volts = amps, so
322,142 watts / 220 volts = 1,464.3 amps

That is all very well if you are charging from your home, but how oftern do you fill up your car at home?

322,142 watts / 1500 volts = 214.8 amps

There is no reason to assume that the battery is a 220v, the tesla roadster has a 375v battery pack.

You can charge under maximum current, just takes longer. Voltage is what matters, hence why usb chargers for phones and mps players etc normally take longer than the equivelant socket charger.
Kevin a fruitcake? Far from it. I also study at Reading, and he is by far one of the most helpful and and most intelligent lecturers there. He is a bit of a media whore, but in a subject so starved of funds that is really just a commendable point!

He is far more interesting than the stereotypical grumpy professor. Oh and the RFID tag was one of the first experiments, I suggest you actually do some reading on the brain gate nerve interface, which is what made him the "cyborg". The RFID tag was just an implant, the braingate is a bidirectional 100 pin nerve interface chip.
@ Zak - are you a moron? What is 32 + 32 + 16. I'll help, its 80. That is how they would get 80, you douche.
@ Zak

Um yes 3 years. Unfortunatly all products require development time so either :

1. The prada copied the iPhone 2 months before it was released.
2. They completely randomly developed very similar designs.
3. The iPhone which was released 2 months later copied the Prada.

Hmmmm. Time machine jokes aside, I'll guess 3.
YOU FAIL.
Make that 2 million +1. I'm getting one as soon as my ipod dies (pretty soon, flimsy little thing!). I HATE itunes - worst media software I have had the misfortune of using, and yes I have used a lot. Typical Apple product, all looks no substance, but after years of grey and white minimalism, guess im sick and its more like no-looks-no-substance. /end rant.
That because you probably have not the slightest idea how this technology works.

This is a video (not in english) of a guy with Parkinsons I assume, walking around with the DBS on, and then at the end of the video, turning it off to show the extent of the tremors.
This is an old technology used to treat Parkinsons amongst other things. We have to study this in university. Insteresting stuff.
How is it not a fine rationalisation? Predictable and logical behaviour by a robot, whether right or wrong can be modified and upgraded to perfect it. Humans will always be the weak link in the chain. I doubt if a robot will ever feel the need to be sadistic or brutal as is oftern descibed of the actions of some regular soldiers.

Oh and to the other guy, well it is funny, I work on technologies related to this feild and what can i say, one operator controlling the actions of 5 or more semi autonomous robots (unitll AI is sufficent) if far more economical than employing 5 pilots who may make mistakes or choose to not follow orders!
What! "identify a human _enemy_ target with 100% accuracy and I might concede"

So I guess thats what humans are capable of right? I mean, we never make mistakes. Drones using AI have already been deployed a long time ago, and are proving highly successful in the right circumstances. They are not dumb fire machines like landmines, and the improvments in AI will probably result in them being more capable of target recognition than any human.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
