AMD to make "significant corporate announcement" tomorrow, possibly breaking up {Engadget}
Oct 6th 2008 11:18PM if AMD goes under then I can't see any way for any upstart to get back in the game unless somebody comes up with a quantum computer, so yeah consumers are pretty boned if this is true.

Sep 15th 2008 8:43PM Apple should switch from industrial to avant garde and make the new macbooks look exactly like that picture, angled metal and all. It would be the ultimate fanboy test.

Sep 11th 2008 6:35PM I think I'd actually get this if they had support for X-Fi (I know I know not even Creative can write drivers for them...) cause all my other hardware happens to be on that list.

Sep 10th 2008 9:04AM does anyone know if you have to follow certain recharging habits in order to keep the batteries in good shape? i.e. can you plug it every night and forget about it or do you have to try to let the batteries drain a certain percent before recharging? I hear all kinds of things about laptop batteries needing to be drained at least once a month and am not sure if it's all hearsay.

Creative rolls out (working) driver update for X-Fi cards {Engadget}
Jul 31st 2008 12:19PM I'm in that group of people who have been compulsively googling "X-Fi crackling", "X-Fi driver fix" and "X-Fi @$%! sucks donkey @%&" for the past eternity or so and have found nothing but cocommiserators and utter incompetence from Creative. I've been screwing with PCI frequencies and buses for a long time now and have just resigned myself to hear a scraping electronic whine every time I move my mouse (?!?!) Fuck you Creative.

Jul 29th 2008 3:45PM All these new mobile processors call for TRIANGLE GRAPHS DAMMIT! One axis is power consumption one axis is price and the other is performance. Plunk them down and see which is best for whichever applications you need them for. And yes there is a good 30 Rock quote for this but seriously I call for triangle graphs.
