But can it play doom? Seriously though I'd love to take this out for a test drive. Just need to get a ridiculously fast Internet connection to go with the hardware. Time for FTTH.
Aha, So maybe it's:
headphones-$10
ethiopian sheep leather-$40
cable - $1450
This is pretty cool. Although I'm not sure how much of an improvement eSATA is over USB 2.0 through the cardbus slot, it would allow people to buy eSATA drives now and use them later when they upgrade to express slot computer.
crescentdave,
There is such a thing as too small. If you can't easily interface with the device (buttons, screens etc) then its too small.

Here's the catch 22. Most people want small devices so they are portable but they want large screens and easy interfaces.

I like the buttons and overall size but the screen is too small. Answer: internal projector.

8 wifi cards... I was afraid to get cancer from one.
When I first considered buying a DVDR drive it was about 1000 and about 30 for media. At that time there was a big debate over +R versus -R and now +- drives are the standard. If history repeats itself, maybe there will be BR/HD or something (as nick suggested).
The E really is a big deal especially for Linux users and the rising star in virtualization, Xen. Xen 3 does not support Windows as a guest OS without the Intel Virtualization.

I love Linux but sometimes you just have to use Windows. I personally like Dell but this torrent of bad news through the quickly spreading blogosphere will have a serious effect. I wonder if these lawsuits and recalls are raising their prices.

I wonder if the FAA will ever ban Li-ion batteries on planes. If they do they better put plugs in all seats.
Hey this one looks nice in comparison to the other two. A new battery and maybe some of the ipod scratch fix stuff and it'll be good as new.

yes, but can it play DVDs? (chris rock)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
